To assist Pinnacle staff in solving trade issues, the PeakAccess and PeakLite programs collect and store every keystroke entry, order message and server connection message.  Each day an EVE file with the format YEAR MONTH DAY.eve  (e.g 20021126.eve) is created and stored on your local computer.  All of these files (archiving the entire history of your trading) are contained in your Program Files\IQuote32 directory.

The EVE file can assist our staff in identifying and correcting any potentials trade problems or errors.  The instructions for sending an EVE file are as follows:

  • Go to START button on the bottom left corner of the computer
  • From this menu click on SEARCH  than choose " for files or folders "
  • Under the " Search for files or folders named" type the following:

    *.eve

  • This will search for all eve files on the computer.  You can also search by specific dates (e.g.  20021126.eve). You can sort these files by date by clicking on the " modified " tab at the top of the screen
  • Highlight the file date you require to your desktop.
  • You can view this file using WordPad - a windows application

Below is a small sample of an EVE file for a single day. Please send this file to tradedesk@pcmtrading.com for review if you have a trade issue.
